Hi everybody!
I'm looking for a light GTK mail client, because I can't stand
Thunderbird anymore... I knew sylpheed, evolution, but they're not exactly
what I want.
Then I've found balsa, and I think it is mostly what I was looking for.
There are all the features I need (maybe an integrated antispam is
missing, but...), it is really light, fast, simple. Great!
I just first found the interface quite old-fashioned... I didn't know
exactly why, so I tried to find, and here is my point of view:
* The icons (not built in GTK/Gnome) come from the default Gnome theme...
Wouldn't it be better to include newer ones, like Tango's? Or maybe
redesign original icons? Or let the user choose between different icon
themes?
* The very small columns in the messages list view are using just one
letter for the header. Could an icon be better?
* The preferences window uses a TreeView to choose the options. Maybe
tabs or icons would be better?
In fact, I don't know if these ideas seem good for you, or if you love the
software as it is now. If you love some, I would be pleased to help you a
bit!
Oh, I forgot: Thanks a lot for this software, I just LOVE it!
