Okay, the non-threaded version builds now and with this version
I don't have any problems opening URLs in either the plain text
or GtkHTML views.

System Details:  RedHat-7.1 on i686 with Gnome-1.4 from Ximian

glib-1.2.10-ximian.2
gnome-libs-1.2.13-ximian.10
gtk+-1.2.10-ximian.10
libgtkhtml13-0.10.1-ximian.1
glibc-2.2.2-10

Any suggestions?

P.S.  I did notice one interesting thing, opening a large local
mailbox seems slightly faster with the non-threaded version.
