Dear Eleanor:

I think Sammy point out, we are happy to have this training program, and we
need time plan for this training.
That mean this training program will have more than 45 mins, maybe 90 mins (
Use 2 slots in summit).

Please let us know your plan.

I think 90 mins will be enough for this training program. I am working
on a more detailed trainning plan and will post it onto live.gnome.org
when done.

I think that is Eleanor's agenda, right?

Exactly, this is the agenda.

Thank you.

Eleanor

For ALL:

I suggest this training program in our summit, to use 2 slots (90 mins)
Please give us some suggestion

Best regards

Hi Eleanor,

May you send us agenda, length of training and any other details we should
know about training ?

Hi all,

I think we got 2 options (host it at NIPA, or look for a room in a local
university as a pre-event) to arrange this training session, and we should
consider after the deadline of CFP passed and details from Eleanor.

Dear Eleanor

Thanks for your training suggestion, It's great if we could have this
training during summit.
^__^

Could you give us more detail about this training.

Best regards

Max

For ALL:

Cause we have 3 room in venue, I agree with Sammy, I suggest we could
have training with other session at the same time, and this training could
have more time to train. (1 or 2 hours / 90 mins?) Depend on training
detail.

And we should ask for more details of the training session she

I agree that we should ask for more details, but should we try to find
another venue for the day before? It's not uncommon for these kinds of
sessions to be held somewhere else from the main venue as they tend to
be
smaller. We could even get a classroom at a university, for example.

How about making training session during the summit day?
We have 3 rooms.
Unfortunately, I checked that our venue is reserved by another event
at
5/23
So. we only can use the venue during the summit.

For training session, we don't need to submit from website. We

I think this session is a great idea! Emily's right that we can
promote
it
as a special training session. Last year, we had the design
session
and
it
was really a big success.

Most important of all, we should:
1. Announce in website that we will have a training session 1 day
before
the summit
2. List training courses online as well as speakers bio, photos
and
outline
for each topic
3. Promote in universities to encourage students to join the
session.
We
can also print certificate for each student after finish the
training.
Karen and Tobi can sign on the certification.

I think promotion in universities is really key for something like
this.

I'd be happy to sign the certificates :)

4. When do registration, participant can choose to join the
training
session or not. Or we can have a separate training registration.
The
website team will have their preference.
