Re: GNOME.Asia 2011 Event Survey

Some suggestions:
Do we need to have "Choose one of the following answers" for each question?

Question 2:
What is your age?

what about?
How old were you at the time of the event (April 2&3)?

Question 3:
Which of the following categories best describes your primary area of employment?

should be:
Which industry best describes your primary area of work?

also we should remove "New answer option" somewhere in the middle

Question 4:
I would replace the 3 options for North, Central and South America by 'The Americas'

Question 5:
Where city/country are you from?

Confusing phrasing: people will give either one or both and it will be hard to make automatic stats out of it.
Also it should be "which"

Question 7:
Should read: "Please rate your training session satisfaction level"

Same comment for "Were you satisfied with the talks?", should be "please rate the talks you attended satisfaction level"? -> since there are other question about other aspects of the summit we should add a footnote stating "more questions about various aspect of the summit are asked later. Please only rate the talks."

"Were you satisfied with the following items" should be:
"please rate each individual item separately"
-> what are people rating exactly when it comes to each individual track? the talks there, the room, the on-time schedule, the work of the volunteers? Maybe we should clarify as well.

(I lost track of question numbers)
Which booth impressed you most?
=>
Which booth impressed you THE most?

"Please specify your experience with your selected platforms in the box(es). " -> I find this confusing as I was expected to say whether I was proficient or casual user ('experience'). I think we can do without that footnote.

Can we add LXDE to the list of free desktop environments as well?

"Why did you choose your current operating system?"
-> We should ask them to specify what OS they use as well, else it will be hard to know which reason applies to which OS...

Do you have any suggestions for improving GNOME 3.0?
-> suggestion should be singular (I think we have the same typo elsewhere before this one)

What did you like and dislike most about GNOME?
if using past it should be about the summit, else we should use present tense.

http://gnome.asia is currently redirecting to 2011.gnome.asia. So what does the question "Have you visited the http://gnome.asia website? " and the next one trying to figure out? do we want feedback about the summit 2011 site, or a community site which we don't have at all?

Are you planning to join GNOME.Asia Summit next year?
-> this is a difficult question especially with 80% of students attending. We don't even know where it will be. The cost involve to attend is definitely THE limiting factor. I understand why we're asking but...

Nothing else.

Thanks.

Fred
