Hi Pockey,

Sorry I didn't communicate with you and another team members few weeks lately. Lot of things happen to me regarding national community event, works and personal things.

Me and my friend already have enough information about the 1-day conference but not for the 3-day private hackfest.

Could you help me to clarify about the hackfest plan. Such as target of participants, agenda and objective of the hackfest?

Sure! For the hackfest:

The main objectives are:
  1. To provide a place for the GNOME release team, marketing team, documentation team as well as developers to work on the GNOME 3.0 release all together
  2. To make sure that the GNOME 3.0 release is successful and nothing is missing

The target participants are GNOME marketing, release and documentation teams members as well as GNOME shell developers. We basically target GNOME contributors who work on the GNOME 3.0 release.

We expect to have around 50 people joining the hackfest.
Potential venues can be universities (with a few rooms provided for 50 people), resorts, holiday youth village, office.

For the agenda:
SInce it's a hackfest, we expect it's un unconference event. Activities can include but not limited to:
  1. Getting things done sessions
  2. Hacking
  3. Collaboration
  4. Discussion
  5. Technical helpdesk

Many thanks.

Regards,
