Ok. Read through the bug. Yes, the 'deleted' warning disappeared in 3.18,
but the other report, https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=756426#c8
is the one I am experiencing now.
I read a little through the code, and see that the 'refresh' message is
cause by an event (GIO?). The code doesn't actually check datestamps,
but seems to rely on the fact that this event should never occur. Maybe
the callback should be disabled before saving the file?
