But you do have a multi-layout xkb setup, which uses modifier bits
13-15.  Sawfish mistakes those for mouse buttons.  The problem is that
Sawfish uses internally an event representation where mouse buttons
are represented as modifier bits.

You could try just ripping out support for more than five mouse
buttons by reverting SVN commits 4158 and 3397.
