I tested on os400 and it works fine, providing the 2 tiny attached patches are applied. 1) configure.in vs configure.ac: use the one that exists, prefer configure.ac. 2) Do not install SCM doc files (i.e.: HACKING) if building from a distribution tarball. These two patches are already applied at https://github.com/monnerat/libxml2/tree/os400. In addition, I noticed that file doc/news.html is not fixed in rc1, as done by master commit "doc/news.html: small update to avoid line join while generating NEWS."
