It is available in the FTP area at

as a signed tarball libxml2-2.9.2-rc1.tar.gz as well as
signed rpms built on Fedora.

It seems to work fine for me but more testing including on
non-linux platforms would be greatly appreciated !

I will likely make a release candidate 2 on Monday based on
a few remaining patches and issues raised with rc1, and
shooting for a final release on Thursday next week if everything
goes fine,

libxml2-2.9.2-rc1.tar.gz has "configure.ac", but latest git still
shows "configure.in". Is it planned to rename obsolete configure.in to
configure.ac?

Oops, good spot, I forgot to commit and tag the release in git (way
too many things going on!) will do this right now :)

  thanks !

Daniel
