Yes, with CVS from today:

$ xsltproc --version
Using libxml 20623-CVS2742, libxslt 10115-CVS1042 and libexslt 812-CVS1042
xsltproc was compiled against libxml 20623, libxslt 10115 and libexslt 812
libxslt 10115 was compiled against libxml 20623
libexslt 812 was compiled against libxml 20623

it all seems better. Thanks. I suppose I should bug-report this at
Ubuntu...
