It was time for a monthly release:
ftp://xmlsoft.org/ and GNOME FTP mirrors
http://xmlsoft.org/
This is mostly bugfixes. I didn't include the Relax-NG Compact syntax
support since I didn't do the integration and testing work yet, though
it's in CVS:
* Bugfixes: dictionnaries for schemas (William Brack), regexp segfault
(William), xs:all problem (William), a number of XPointer bugfixes (William),
xmllint error go to stderr, DTD validation problem with namespace,
memory leak (William), SAX1 cleanup and minimal options fixes (Mark Vadoc),
parser context reset on error (Shaun McCance), XPath union evaluation
problem (William) , xmlReallocLoc with NULL (Aleksey Sanin), XML Schemas
double free (Steve Ball), XInclude with no href, argument callbacks order
for XPath callbacks (Frederic Peters)
* Documentation: python scripts (William Brack), xslt stylesheets (John Fleck),
doc (Sven Zimmerman), I/O example.
* Python bindings: fixes (William), enum support (Stéphane Bidoul),
structured error reporting (Stéphane Bidoul)
* XInclude: various fixes for conformance, problem related to dictionnary
references (William & me), recursion (William)
* xmlWriter: indentation (Lucas Brasilino), memory leaks (Alfred Mickautsch),
* xmlSchemas: normalizedString datatype (John Belmonte)
* code cleanup for strings functions (William)
* Windows: compiler patches (Mark Vakoc)
* Parser optimizations, a few new XPath and dictionnary APIs for future
XSLT optimizations.
This month again, William Brack did most of the nasty bugfixing and cleanup
work, thanks a lot. Thanks goes too to everybody who submitted patches or
reported bugs.
One of the part which is relatively easy to extend is the examples section,
look at http://xmlsoft.org/examples/index.html, it is far from covering
the main parts of libxml2 API, so if you know a part you had trouble too,
taking the time to submit an example will allow others to gain from your
experience. Think about it if you want to contribute something back !
