Furthermore, the current php binding (as of PHP 4.3) is going through a
complete rewrite and should much more adhere to the standards (this is
just an information to the PHP heads out there...)

yes, W3C DOM and all the other stuff (XSLT, XPath, Schema..). But as W3C
DOM is sometimes quite cumbersome, we will most certainly add some
convenience methods outside of the dom-specs. But first, we implement the
w3c stuff.
