platforms, where the editing/text processing tools assume
platform-native endings (CR LF under Windows, CR under Mac OS).

Nothing ! Nobody before you asked for this, and more than half my
user base is on Windows I suspect.
Changing the EOL is an extension of the information set included
in the document. It is equivalent to adding in the source,
toolkit don't do this, appplication shouldn't either.
