Ok.
Just to put a bit of emphasis on my side:
- libxml2 + libxslt is already around 200,000 lines of C code
- I read recently that usually a programmer can maintain around
20,000 lines of code in average
- there is clearly not 10 fulltime programmers maintaining those
(even I am not full time on them !)
Draw your own conclusions, but mine is that if something can be
implemented simply outside of the libraries and existing code,
well it's a good idea to take that path, really !
