  Hum, BTW how much is it to go from 8859-1 to 8859-15 and 16 ?

Whereas 8859-1 maps 1:1 to UNICODE U+0000..U+00FF,
all other 8859-* need transcoding tables in both directions.
Because of the nice clustering of the UNICODE values for
each of them, these tables can be relatively small, 
about 500 bytes per character set.

But if small like 8859-15 as I expect then patches welcome :-)
