I guess you are usigng Perl from ActiveState. In that case, the
answer is no, you don't have to install libxml2 separately provided
you install XML::LibXML from the binary ppm package. The simpliest way
to do so is to run ppm and use the following commands:
ppm> set repository RK http://theoryx5.uwinnipeg.ca/ppmpackages/
ppm> set save
ppm> install XML::LibXML
Also, there is a separate mailing list for XML::LibXML together with
all other XML-related Perl modules at
perl-xml listserv activestate com
