Hmm, I'm in Windows right now, and it doesn't do anything if I bring the
panel from autohide, up.  It doesn't resize a maximized window or anything
of the sort.  The panel gracefully slides up over the bottom portion of the
window.  I'd be very annoyed if it DID resize my windows.
