Some time ago, I wrote a script to update the wiki example in

Sorry, I guess that was me. I didn't know what it was for and removed it
due to the line-counting issue. Maybe the script can be modified so that
it recognizes a comment preceding a code block:
/* vala-test:examples/string.vala */
{{{#!...
...
}}}
and deprecated GNOME libraries.
Increase samples categories (Glib , GIO , Mysql ... etc) with their subcategories (GLib.Environment ,
GLib.Math , GLib.Shell ... etc).
I have tried to restructure the samples section into categories. Don't
know if they make more sense. And I agree with you. For example, I would
like to see the GTK+ samples page to be expanded into a GTK+ tutorial.
Perhaps you should investigate in http://valadoc.org/ ?
Of course, I'm aware of that, but it's only API documentation. I was
thinking of a step-by-step tutorial for people who have never developed
GTK+ apps before.
Best regards,
Frederik
