[Vala] License clarification

Hello,

The Fedora project, as part of its license audit, is shifting towards
declaring the license version (if any) in its RPM packages.

I need to do an update to my Vala package, and here the confusion
goes. The Vala website states the license to be LGPL v2.1, but the
headers on most files (I have not checked thoroughly) states "version
2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version"

So is Vala:
LGPLv2+
LGPLv2.1+

or just LGPLv2.1 ?
