When i point that maybe the problem is the tabs design, i mean that
the way that tabs are make them look bad if there is only one tab, i
agree it's annoying having that waste of space there in the top, but,
maybe the change of color from the window to the tab makes the
contrast of that space feel as wasted.

Also, they could be a little slimmer, that way the space would feel
less crowded and a button that adds a new tab should be next to the
main tab, removing the requirement to use the keyboard combo nor the
top menu.
