Alt+F1 is fine by me and there is no reason to change it to
Ctrl+Escape, since it will confuse our current users.
I can see we disagree. That is ok of course ;-)
But it would be good to know your reasoning. Who do you believe is the
winner in long and short term with your way of thinking? How do you see
the future? How do you see the future if my suggestions were used instead?
But appart from that, nothing is keeping you from defining your own
keybindings as you like them ;-)
Thanks, that have been my impression all the time. However I want the
default to be as easy as possible for new GNOME users coming from MS
Windows. Is not that a desireable goal?
No. The defaults are to be the easiest possible for actual users of
Gnome, not Windows'.
I feel quite surprised. How many Gnome users are there today? How many
Windows users (that could become Gnome users)?
And it's still up to the distros to make their own choices if they
feel like it's better for their users.
Thanks. I did not know that. So I should rather talk to the Ubuntu team
then perhaps?
