[Tracker] which version in precise pangolin?

Hi all,

I probably will do a clean install of my os when the new ubuntu arrives. Seems that the latest 
version available for PP is 0.12.0 ?

if so, can I install the 0.14 on top of the 0.12 or are they very different? 
although, I never had any luck with manually installed tracker so far, I think I never really managed to get all dependencies.
