What's interesting is that on my laptop, running Fedora 16 with the latest tracker from 0.12 branch (0.12.7 currently), I also sometimes found tracker-store consuming too much CPU, and manually either killed the process or terminated it using tracker-control.
By the way, tracker-store doesn't respond successfully to SIGSTOP, I had to SIGKILL it.
