This release is considered a Release Candidate for 0.8. Assuming no major regressions are found with it, the next release is likely to be 0.8.0.
Me again. I also did an automated scan for missing/outdated licensing/copyright information on current git master using the licensecheck tool [1]. The result is attached. Quite a few files seem to miss an appropriate header, a few have outdated an outdated FSF address, and for some it's not clear to me why LGPL is used over GPL. I thought only the libs were supposed to be LGPL.
