Okay, I tried that, and I think that fixed it.  Now the database is ~400MB and everything is much faster.  At some point, this kind of problem needs to be addressed from a user interface perspective....

those configuration changes? Not sure if tracker-miner-fs will manage
that configuration change automagically... specially for the ignore
