2007/12/13, Anita Lewis <a lewis linuxbasics org>:
One last try before I quit trying to compile.
The headers for libart_lpgl and libgnomevfs are in /usr/include. They
are not getting found when tracker-search-tool is being compiled; so
that portion (and maybe others) of tracker are not producing an object
or executable.
Does anyone have an idea how to get them found? I tried putting
/usr/include in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/ld.so.conf and ran sudo ldconfig, but
ld.so.conf is important for ld, ie libs, not headers.
that did not seem to change anything. After doing this, I also tried
fresh source. I then tried removing the configure file and using
autoconf.
Why not wait for your distro to produce binaries for you.
Btw, which disto are you using?
