there is just one thing I still don't get: before you said that
[tracker-search "one two"] searches for the literal text as appearing
between the quotes, but now I understand these quotes are eaten by
tracker-search before given to mysql (is that correct?). Is it still
possible then to do a literal search for some sentence?
yes they are not eaten by tracker but by the shell
for a phrase you need to do tracker-search '"the sun is shining"'
(thats single quote, double quote, phrase, double quote, single quote)
