No, you are wrong...


If you see at the end of the .po files, you will see  something like
(from es.po):

#~ msgid " Primary group "
#~ msgstr " Grupo principal "

This entries were old translations that now are not at POTFILE.in files,
but if you readd now the string " Primary group ", this entry will be
marked as translated. Your work will be there until you remove those
entries.
