[Shotwell] saving my library

Hello,

I am a huge fan of Shotwell, thanks for your work!

Soon I want to migrate my image library to another computer, I already
selected "saving metadata in file".
I suppose tags are saved in this, but am I right that only shotwell can
understand them correctly?

And what about "events" will they be saved too, or is does this have
nothing to do with the actual meta data? Will this be saved in some
shotwell config that I also should back up?

So all in all:
What files to I have to back up, other than the location of my library?
Any shotwell files, or is all important in the meta data of each picture?

On my new computer, will shotwell read the tags automatically when
importing my existing library?
