[Shotwell] Crash deleting photos

I regularly have shotwell (0.18.0, installed from ubuntu repo)
crashing when deleting photos on Ubuntu 14.04.  Is anyone else seeing
this?  I would very much like a workaround if there is one as it is
rather tedious to have to restart regularly. Fortunately it does not
seem to do any harm.  I have submitted a bug [1] but it has not so far
been confirmed.
