I have plenty of tasks for 1.8.0, all to improve new features since
1.7. It's difficult to release 1.8.0 in a month. (Since I have
relatively less *.desktop files, I can't test it enough.)

If 1.8.0 won't come soon, there's a reverse startegy; if we stash it
now into HEAD, git repo users will use and thus test it well before
the release.
