Here's my take on some of them.

* Split the theme menu by first letter if too long.

This would not be necessary if the combo box had proper keyboard
support, i.e., moved to an item when the user types the beginning of
its label. Unfortunately it doesn't. I would have expected the
toolkit to take care of this. How hard would it be to fix the
keyboard support?

... rep-gtk is open for everything.

* Support for merging windows into one frame.

What kind of frame? In particular, what sort of window management
would take place inside the frame?

That feature request has been made by John himself. -- as a reminder, before he stopped working on sawfish/librep/rep-gtk

The Window's frame. You have 3 Windows, you get 3 Frames (of course). The idea is, to be able to merge windows together,
into one frame. For example when you use GEdit for editing HTML Code and need an color-picker for getting #xxxxx color-codes,
you would have to switch between both windows all the time, instead you merge the color-picker into GEdit's frame an have both
available in the same frame and can access them at the same time. Or you could get rid of 2+x Windows while using GIMP. This would
also keep the task-list and the window-list clean.

* --replace option

Is there a standard way to tell the current wm to quit?
sawfish-client -f restart is already available, so the new feature
would be useful only if the currently running wm is not Sawfish.
Simply killing it would be kind of rude.
