DHCP Yes, but with a reserved/fixed IP

 

Does the time after Rygel stopps being discoverable roughly match up
with the lease time?

I can check.

Two things happened in my setup before/after problems started to appear

1) F20 -> F21 update

2) Router upgrade to AC87U

Another thing as well:

With F19 & F20 I normally just started rygel by logging in via ssh and executed the rygel command as a normal user, then logged out again. With F21 I believe I had problems where rygel became undiscoverable when I logged out of ssh. That's why I switched to running rygel as systemd service instead.
