Re: Rygel only selectively visible

Zeeshan, spent a couple of hours installing Rygel's latest stable build - 0.12.5 (mostly because more than a few package requirements are higher than what Ubuntu 11.10 offers, like gssdp, gupnp etc.)

But after compiling and installing it, I still am left with the same problem: namely that it is only visible to some Android apps like Samsung's AllShare.

I'll add that I have twonkyserver(http://www.twonky.com/products/twonkylinux/default.aspx) running on the same machine. To further elaborate, here's the visibility of the server/renderer across different apps for me.

Samsung AllShare(Android): I see two DLNA servers(twonky and Rygel) and one DLNA renderer(Rygel)
2Player(Android): I see one DLNA server(twonky) and no DLNA renderer.
Foobar(WinXP): I see two DLNA servers(twonky and Rygel) and one DLNA renderer(Rygel)

Rohin.

Thats older (and therefore unsupported) rygel, wonder how many ubuntu
users it take Ubuntu folks to package the most recent version.
Anyways, first thing you must do now is to try the latest stable
release.

The problem I face is
