Hi,
Running Rhythmbox in F19, I'm happy to see updates to the UI to make it more
streamlined. I'd like to suggest one improvement to make it more in-line
with other GNOME 3 apps visually. The large playback buttons are nice
targets, but the tango styled icons in the primary toolbar don't seem
clickable and look a little aged.
I agree.
I've mocked up how I imagine things looking much more GNOMEy and clear:

I like how this looks. Do you know how I can make the buttons look
like normal buttons without losing the primary toolbar style? I've
tried a few different ways of nesting them but they always seem to
pick up the flat style.
Maybe I should be looking at GtkHeaderBar instead?
