I'm not able to check Rhythmbox at the moment, but I'm
thinking that all of the current stations that are installed by
default are in ogg format so there are no other installation
requirements for streaming by default. Someone correct me if I'm
wrong. ;)
Other than that, I think they are happy to add more default
stations. I made a request a while back, which was approved, for
more stations that were in ogg format and they usually prefer
you file a bug report for this to keep some order and a
changelog.
They may still add non-ogg formats, but you should still
consider filing a report for this. If you don't have an account,
I can file it for you a little later.
Cheers,
Kyle

Greetings Rythymbox
developers.
My name is Matt and I am the chief engineer of WSUM Student
Radio at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. I am
writing to see if you would be willing to add my stream to
the iradio-inital.pls file for the Rythymbox distribution.
We are 100% student supported and do not run any commercials
or pledge drives. The play format is quite diverse and
follows a reverse seniority based on volunteer hours. If
you would consider this request, we would very much
appreciate it.

I am also working on an external project for small
broadcasters and webcasters to help capture and distribute
the playlist metadata created by live audio streams. My
project information can be found at

Thanks much for your time and consideration.
