Re: [Rhythmbox-devel] Compiling issues on debian (debian/changelog and debian/control)

Hi people!

I'm sorry to bother you (all), but if I try to compile sources and install them with a simple "make install", when I lunch the new installed rhythmbox, I receive the following error (no error if I run rb without installing):

giopas giolaptop:~$ /usr/local/bin/rhythmbox
/usr/local/bin/rhythmbox: symbol lookup error: /usr/local/bin/rhythmbox: undefined symbol: rb_shell_new
giopas giolaptop:~$ /usr/local/bin/rhythmbox-client

(rhythmbox-client:22480): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)
giopas giolaptop:~$ /usr/local/bin/rhythmbox -d
(08:51:28) [0x8355028] [rb_debug_init_match] rb-debug.c:213: Debugging enabled
(08:51:28) [0x8355028] [main] main.c:176: initializing Rhythmbox 0.12.4
(08:51:28) [0x8355028] [rb_threads_init] rb-util.c:393: GMutex isn't recursive
(08:51:28) [0x8355028] [main] main.c:184: going to create DBus object
(08:51:28) [0x8355028] [main] main.c:266: Going to create a new shell
/usr/local/bin/rhythmbox: symbol lookup error: /usr/local/bin/rhythmbox: undefined symbol: rb_shell_new

What could it be the problem (how to solve it)? Thank you VERY much!!

giopas (a compiler noob :) )
