It looks like the totem-plparser API could pretty much provide the
same features as the rhythmbox podcast parser, except that the podcast
parser provides a bit more information on the feed as a whole (see the
RBPodcastChannel structure). If the playlist-start signal had a
hashtable containing the feed metadata like the entry-parsed signal
does, then we could switch over pretty easily.
