That's caused by a bug that was fixed in the most recent GStreamer
release (0.8.10).  (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159676)
Depending on which distribution you use, there might be packages
available.

The playlist save messages have nothing to do with it.  Rhythmbox just
does that every 10 seconds.
