When I said that, I didn't know that Benjamin would remove them
entirely - I don't have magic powers to control everything. Anyway, it
feels a bit strange to have this discussion by proxy. Any chance you
could get the oxygen-gtk maintainer to just come and complain in
person ? That would be more productive, I think.
He reopened the bugreport about this. I'm not talking on just his
behalf, it seemed like a change that will result in a lot of backlash
and I think we should reach out.
During 2.x days there was a clear "do not break API/ABI", it seems a bit
too easy of a change. That's for release team to look after IMO even if
gtk+ is a bit special.
