assisting with 3.0 building

fyi,

Though never have time for any release, took Apr 1 - Apr 8 off. Wanted
days before that, but unfortunately busy @ work. Taken this off mostly
to just to relax & work on GNOME stuff (infrastructure and so on), I can
also assist with the release (though: almost 0 experience with the doing
a release).

Any suggestions on how I can help?
