there is definitely *no* freeze for documentation (note to myself: we
should make this more clear for the next release cycle timetable). 

nevertheless, i think that a message to gnome-i18n_at_gnome.org could be
nice, so translators do not begin to translate the outdated doc, before
you have updated it (if you plan to).
