Hi Maurice
I didn't have the manual link either. I'm a Gentoo user, have been forever. Can't imagine a world without it -- or without planner.
Here's what I have installed:
[ebuild R ] app-office/planner-0.14.3-r1 USE="doc python -debug -eds -examples -libgda" 0 kB
I'm sure I'm missing something, I just don't know what...

What you need is resource levelling, which is a feature that is
currently being implemented.

The help menu should contain a link to the user guide.
If it doesn't, it's a bug (probably in packaging).
