The list is a good place to discuss them, but to ensure they don't get
forgotten, its best to submit them to bugzilla also.

Yes, Bugzilla is the official tool.

Well, critical is a very subjective thing. It really depends on what
you want to use it for of course. I'd say the best thing would be to
scan the bug list to see if any issues might be show stoppers for you.

The home page will give you some navigation links and a quick search
box. To get a quick list of all open bug reports, search on:
product:planner
To narrow down your search, you can add search terms:
product:planner work
...will search for all planner bugs reports with the word 'work' in
them.
