If slint works properly on that machine, it will come up talking as
booted. You'll need the slint iso on a flash drive or dvd to get this
process started along with rufus. The rufus software can put the slint
iso on the flash drive correctly. The last time I cleaned Windows off a
machine and replaced it with Linux was back in 2001 and I didn't use rufus
then since flash drives so far as I can recall didn't exist then and the
Dell hardware with intel didn't boot off flash drives either. The slint
distribution is slackware international version and is about to get a 15.0
release candidate too. You may want to install using slint-14.2.1 though
and wait until an official 15.0 release comes out for slint. Slackware is
already at 15.0.

Hello, My name is Jessica.
I have a computer that's not working very well with Windows 11, so plan to replace Windows with Linux,
because that's one of the things I'll be learning this upcoming semester, which will begin my sophomore
year in college.
I'm studying computer science with a focus on IT.
Does anyone know of an accessible way to replace Windows11 with Linux, in a way that's fully accessible?
Thanks,
Jessica
