[orca-list] I think I fixed some Google Docs sluggishness

Hey all.

Subject pretty much says it all. Devin sent me a pretty amazingly
lagful debug.out file. From there I was able to detect and
significantly improve performance with Google Docs. I'd love some
testing of Orca master for verification and to ensure nothing broke as
a consequence.
