Actually as far as I am aware, both greeters use gtk. Slick greeter is
the greeter used I believe by Mint, and Fedora's MATE spin is also using
it. Slick greeter allows you to configure it to start orca using its
standard alt+super+s shortcut, whereas gtk greeter uses f4 I believe it
is. The problem is that gtk greeter still needs some additional
configuration in order for the screen reader to work correctly; that is
to say I wasn't able to get gtk greeter speaking by simply pressing the
alt+f4 shortcut. I still had to reconfigure
/etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf in order to get it speaking. There
are also some differences in the layouts, although once you get either
one speaking, both work well with Orca.
