Hey there Samuel, I think your instruction just might solve a problem I
am having. I am trying to create /usr/lib/python3.9/site-packages which
points to /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages. I am issuing the command ln -s
site-packages /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages, and the result i am
getting is the symlink inside of /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages. I have
issued the command to /usr/lib/python3.9 when I issued this command. I
want to add that I am running Ubuntu mate 21.10. Am I doing something
backwards?
Thanks,
Guy

So things are fixed for you?
I don't really understand how, actually.
Anyway, I have reported the issue on https://bugs.debian.org/998739
