Howdy Chrys,
Not sure Shadyar wants a translation to Arabic: Farsi is the main
language used
in Iran. It is written using the arabic alphabet (plus 4 specific letters if
I remember well) but at least the pronunciation differ.
Shadyar, do you confirm?
Cheers,
Didier

Howdy Shadyar,
the attached file works for me translate to arabic by pressing "orca
key" + m.
you need "translate-shell" installed to get it working. you can install
that using your package manager. or here:
https://github.com/soimort/translate-shell
you need to place the file at:
~/.config/SOPS/plugins-enabled/
keep the filename as it is.
just to get sure its installed properly,
did you get the clipboard content by pressing orca + c? this is
installed by default. if you hear your clipboardcontent, everything is
fine.
if not run:
# cleanup an broken setup:
rm -r ~/.config/SOPS
mv ~/.local/share/orca/orca-customizations.py
~/.local/share/orca/orca-customizations.py.bak
# reinstall SOPS
/usr/share/SOPS/install-for-current-user.sh
place your plugin then again, restart orca, and give a try.

Hi
Few days ago, You suggest a plugin to translate.
"translate_clipboard.py".
I have already installed SOPS.
I downloaded that plugin and next copied it in "plugins-enabled"
directory.
I renamed it to "translate_FA__-__key_m__+__parameters_fa False.py".
till it can translate to fa by pressing Orca + m.
I restarted Orca and copied a word in clipboard but unfortunately when
I press Orca + m, it speaks nothing.
please help me. Thanks in advance.

Howdy,
Sadly the plugin manager of SOPS is currently broken. So you need to
install
the plugins manually.
The plugins define its shortcut in the filename.
Battery__-__key_w.sh
For orca + w
Details here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Simple_Orca_Plugin_System#Structure_of_the_filename
The file need to be placed in:
~/.config/SOPS/plugins-enabled/
And restart orca after that

Hi
thank for your reply.
I first installed SOP and run it, then I download a plugin as a sample
- "battery... sh". and I pressed Orca + CTRL + P to open Plugin
Manager, in the opened window I selected open plugin directory and
copied the plugin file but when I select install new plugin. it is an
empty. table.
How should I install or enable a plugin by Plugin Manager?

Howdy,
there is an SOPS plugin to translate the clipboard using translate
shell
for orca.
the plugin system:
https://github.com/chrys87/simple-orca-plugin-system
the plugin
https://github.com/chrys87/SOPS-Plugins/blob/master/translate_clipboard.py
the plugin has 2 parameters,
1: the language (used by translate shell)
2: replace the clipbaord with translated text (True / False)
see:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Simple_Orca_Plugin_System#Commands/_Preferences
how to pass parameters
example for translate to german and dont replace the clipboard using
shortcut Orca + m:
Translate_DE__-__key_m__+__parameters_de False.py

Hello every body
1. do you know an accessible translation tool that uses Google
Translate service?
If it is available by pressing a shortcut globally it is better.
Glade is not appropriate because its TTS does not read all languages
eg. Persian.
2. does Orca has any plugin that can do that? If so, How can I get
it?
I am using ubuntu with Mate desktop.
Thanks in advance.
