Re: [orca-list] Any other distros lighter than ubuntu mate?

Hi All,

One thing that has always baffled me about super light distributions is whether or not Orca requires a window
manager to function. For example, would Orca run with the only other things installed being an X server and
an Electron app. What I am describing is a light-weight distribution used for kiosks that is based on Debian.

On an unrelated note, how does one independently install the CLI version of Ubuntu or Debian?

Thanks in advance.

Warm regards,
Alex

Debian can be made as heavy or as light as you need, anything from cli-only, to multiple desktops/windowing

Debian might be a good compromise, if you don't install too many applets
